 ~Just a quick update . . .~
First I just want to express my gratitude to this board . . . thank goodness I have somewhere to vent these frustrations that only "you" would understand . . .

Well, after the boating incident (see post above) my husband seemed very remorseful and apologized to all he had worried about his absence.

Not three days later did he again not return home for the night. He claimed he was too drunk to drive home and slept in his truck.

I was obviously EXTREMELY upset! I told him I thought it would be a good idea if he stayed away for a while - for both of us to get our heads "straight". He agreed.

Now its been 3 days and I haven't heard a word from him. I basically just wanted to give him his freedom for a while . . . maybe he'd get this crap out of his system and miss his loving family . . . this doesn't seem to be the case.

Anyway, just wondering if I'm doing the right thing. Last week I paid a physiotherapist $150 to tell me that what my husband needed was an intense 30-day program... Gee, and it was only gonna cost $30,000.00. I'm so discouraged . . .

I just hope he's okay . . . wherever he is.

K, sounds like he is not ready to get help yet. He has to be ready to do it for himself even though you desparately want it to happen. Been there.
Just remember not to 'enable'his gambling.
Hang in there but be realistic and put some things in place to protect you and your daughter.
